What is Salt Brine Ice Management?

Effective ice management is more than a convenience but about creating a safe environment during the winter. We strive to keep all our customers safe while using products that work to cause little to no damage to your lawn, too.

What is Liquid De-Icer Salt Brine?

  • Liquid treatment made from 100% natural minerals (magnesium chloride to be exact) mixed with water and additives

  • Lower freezing point (-20 degrees F) than rock salt

  • Used before snow, sleet, or freezing rain reduces snow and ice from sticking to the ground

  • Used after snow or ice sticks to the surface, de-ices surfaces, and prevents refreezing

Salt Brine vs Rock Salt:

  • Rock salt is only able to be applied right before or just after snow or ice has stuck; salt brine can be applied from 3 days to 1 hour before a winter storm.

  • Rock salt gets tracked inside; salt brine stays on the ground.

  • Rock salt can damage your concrete driveway, burn your lawn, and hurt your pets; salt brine is safer because it has lower levels of toxicity (lower than baking soda!)

Are you a business owner or commercial landlord?

Our salt brine application packages are great at helping keep parking lots and walkways safe in the winter. This helps prepare your areas for forecasted freezing precipitation, including snow, and after the snow has been cleared to help prevent refreezing. You can also reduce maintenance costs by not having to replace, repair, or simply have a continuous clean-up due to rock salt inside your building.

If you currently have a snow removal service, this is a great complement to it. This can actually help your snow removal to be cleaner and even, not to mention help with anything less than 2 inches or precipitation other than snow!

Long and the short, it helps your business stay safer and helps your snow removal service be more efficient. Win-win!

You can request salt brine application as a stand-alone service or have it already included in a seasonal package (residential only). This can mean having our team put down a pretreatment before any winter storm, ice or snow, after as a post-treatment, or both!
